PANTōNE VU is a chromesthesia-curious partnership between two musicians looking to explore that intersection of color and sound. Blending found sound, live performance and modular synth-tinkering, their color series EPs (having just wrapped up Green and continuing with Pink) explore the many musical trails that exists in the corners of the color spectrum. The duo's newest is their six song EP All That. Sampling and flipping and reworking past jazz tracks - as well as fully utilizing their home studio with plenty of analog synthesizers and keyboards - the result is a half dozen jazzy lofi instrumentals. Vintage, full of nostalgia, blending 80s soundtracks with 30s jazz clubs with 90s hip-hop albums. Always with a strong drum kick and a powerful color palette. It all feels very PANToNE VU.
