All I See

All I See

NYC’s savage noise duo White Hills unleash “All I See”, an experimental pop song charged with their singular, metropolis-inspired psych-fuzz. In the irreverent tradition of No Wave, White Hills craft a rhythmical track reminiscent of The Velvet Underground and Suicide with poker-faced vocals, an infectious guitar hook, pulsing electronics and grooved drums that dance between rock and disco vibes. Recorded in Brooklyn, “All I See” reflects on personal perception as reality and the narrow scope we can all get caught in when we allow our attention to be controlled by technology, media and the powers that be. Mavericks of the 21st century psychedelic/space rock resurgence, White Hills crystallized in New York City in the mid 00s when the daring twosome, Dave W (he/him) on guitar/vocals/synths and Ego Sensation (she/her) on drums/bass/vocals/synths conspired to create, disrupt and transcend. Quickly catching the attention of British post-punk legend and musicologist Julian Cope, who released their debut album “They’ve Got Blood Like We’ve Got Blood”, they soared to prominence in the UK music scene garnering acclaim from NME, The Guardian, the BBC and The Sunday Times. In 2013, Jim Jarmusch cast the band in his romantic vampire film Only Lovers Left Alive in which they perform their hit “Under Skin Or By Name” for screen leads Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and Anton Yelchin. The duo is famous for their powerful live performances described by Pitchfork as “exhilarating and unhinged” with PopMatters adding that they “open a vortex every time they hit the stage”. White Hills tour mercilessly, performing internationally at renowned festivals Primavera, SXSW, Levitation, Mystic Festival, Desert Fest and many more. Their 2022 album The Revenge of Heads on Fire was named #1 Psych Album of the Year in Record Collector Magazine with Metal Sucks deeming it “an avant-garde epic”. Their prolific discography has amassed widespread critical acclaim from Pitchfork, Louder, Spin, NPR, Brooklyn Vegan and Stereogum to name a few and bestowed them the cult reputation as the archetype of NYC Noise. “White Hills kick ass” -Jim Jarmusch “Space-rock warriors White Hills give the sense of being out of control, so high on so many things that you’re not sure what’s real anymore.”-Stereogum “Decades from now you’re going to have minds continually blown by the sounds White Hills have done and still make” -The Obelisk TOUR DATES August 4 Krach AM Bach Festival Beelen, DE August 11 VOID Festival Bavaria, DE Sept 16 Desertfest NYC, US
