2130 is the debut record (EP) by Koshi Blu. The band is formed by Diogo Lourenço (guitar/electronics) and Pedro Almeida (drums/percussion/electronics), two musicians who grew up studying music and playing together. They find in this project a unique opportunity to improvise, compose, and perform music without limits. The duo was born out of the need to create a space where they can play and improvise using new tools, paths, and knowledge, such as electronics, electroacoustic music, sampling, granular synthesis, among others. The musicians create electronic experiments to build soundscapes and textures that serve as a stage for a cinematic instrumental dialogue. In a mix of electronic music with jazz, they tell us about their personal and futuristic journey to the past. The artwork was created by the artist Paulo Almeida and designed by João Massano.
