This single is the first off Parisalexa's first major release since 2018's Flexa EP and follows almost two years of touring and national attention. Most recently, Parisalexa appeared as a contestant on NBC's Songland, where Billboard said her song, though not chosen by the judges, was the best of the season. She was also recently announced as support on Xavier Omar's 2019 tour, finished her first West Coast, co-headline tour with Ivy Sole, and premiered her song "Water Me" via NPR Music.
