RHODES releases his second album ‘(un-finished)’. RHODES wrote this album in the middle of a deeply introspective period of self-reflection, looking a lot at his past, his childhood and the traumas we carry through generations in our families. RHODES started to unravel, unfolding all his core beliefs with this existential feeling of ‘am I even myself?’ ‘The concept of the album is being at the breaking point with this and trying to find a way through it all’. Inspired by a Lucien Freud exhibition, RHODES was spiritually drawn to one of his ‘unfinished’ self-portraits and the note next to it that said ‘deliberately left unfinished to reveal the method and artistic ease behind it’. During the writing and recording process, RHODES wanted to capture the moment, to use parts of the demos, parts of the iPhone recordings and ambient room noises, hoping this will give people an even deeper connection to the songs.
