Hamilton Leithauser, the frontman of The Walkmen, has a brand new solo album on the way. Titled This Side of the Island, the new set of songs arrives March 7th via Glassnote Records. Marking a slight shift away from the more low-key folk-rock that defined his previous solo endeavors, Leithauser crafted This Side of the Island over the course of eight years in his home studio, as well as Aaron Dessner (of The National)’s Long Pond Studio. Dessner served as a producer for the album, as did Leithauser’s wife Anna Stumpf.
