SCayos is a 20-year-old pianist, composer, and producer from India. He became passionate about music when he was 12 years old and knew he wanted to do it as his career when he was 14. He started out by DJing and primarily playing electronic music which eventually led him to produce and compose his own beats and songs. ""Sunken Thoughts" was a project I made for me more than anything else," reflects SCayos. "Lots of songs have very dramatic or drastic sections of the song which are different than most of my discography. I wanted to try making this record because it's something I thought I wouldn’t be able to make and I wanted to prove myself wrong. This record took about 7 months to make and a lot of the songs have 8-10 different versions that were starkly different than the ones that made it. "Sunken Thoughts" plays on tension, elasticity, and irony to stretch your ear drums and brains and I’m really happy with how it turned out. In addition, the intro and outro track features poetry from my close friend Darius Atefat-Pekham and his late mother Suzan. Suzan passed away in a car crash when Darius was a kid. The two poems are a conversation and talk to each other through the boundaries of time. It was really special being able to witness and score such beautiful poems, and to experience such an intimate moment between Darius and his mother."
