Miki Ratsula (they/them) is a non-binary Finnish-American singer-songwriter/producer who was raised in southern California who has amassed a social following with their own original material and their stripped-down covers and creative mashups. Their debut album, i owe it to myself is an indie & acoustic pop dream guided by Miki’s perpetually smooth  vocals  and  a  lush,  lo-fi  inspired  production. Capturing  the  full  emotional  seesaw  that  rocks between youth and adulthood, i owe it to myself is Miki at their most vulnerable and fully realized. “I just want to be the artist I needed growing up,” says Miki, and that’s exactly who they’ve become on this heartfelt and impressive debut record.   The album showcases Miki's range in production and songwriting from feel good pop to R&B and lo-fi jazz inspired.    Both “second” (about Miki journey getting top surgery) and  “suffocate”  exuded raw emotion and show off Miki’s signature production style to the max.  The most recent single "sugarcane" is pure feel good pop.
