kerri is a Saskatchewan born, Montréal-based producer and singer/songwriter whose tracks blend alternative R&B with hip-hop. Learning to produce in his teens, kerri has since drawn inspiration from indie and electronic acts (Frank Ocean, Dijon, James Blake) to craft spacious textures & narratives. "The "glow" mixtape was formed in the summer of 2021, taking inspiration from the past few years of my life and current events going on at the time," reflects kerri. "I used this tape as an outlet to reflect on how far I had come and what the future had in store for me. Exploring the need for validation and the weight of a creative pursuit, I learned the importance of self-confidence and reliance while reflecting on failed relationships, current friendships, and society’s need for comparison before coming to a resolution and finally acceptance."
