Delta's White Clouds by Horizont is more of a contemporary instrumental recording than the nature sounds-oriented Madacy Records series of the same name (Tranquil Moods). Written and principally performed by Klaus Löhmer and Hans-Günter Wagener, these instrumentals stick to a basic new age/contemporary instrumental palette, offering breathy keys over contemplative percussion ("Space Shift"), slightly exotic synth melodies ("Moulin D'Automne"), and even a little bit of smooth jazz in the late-album entry "Loopin'." White Clouds doesn't really take any chances, and because of that and the relative softness of the music, it occasionally loses focus. But it's quite suitable as background music, or even as a tool for relaxation.
