dee holt has found her voice. The 18-year-old Montreal native was never one to sing at parties and kept her talents a secret until only recently. But after teaming up with a family friend who was a producer, Benjamin Nadeau, dee began songwriting and discovered her honest yet mischievous indie-pop sound. Her debut EP ‘When I Close My Eyes’ showcases dee’s developing knack for songwriting and experimentation with flirty and playful indie-pop fresh sounds. On the track “Stuck in the Middle,” dee voices her take on self-love and celebrating everything that makes you different, singing “Far too long I’ve tried to change myself, trying to turn into anybody else, I’m tired of blending in so I’ll stand out.” The up-beat glow-up track is the empowerment she hopes others can feel inspired by to just be themselves.
