This song is about finding one’s inner voice in the midst of the chaos in the external world. It's about the contrast between the psyche and the atrocities and suffering manifest in the external world. It's about the truths that we gain when we look within and beyond, and attempt to make sense of the ways in which our world is broken beyond repair, and in that confrontation, how an individual deals with the many feelings of making sense of their place in the world. It battles with emotions like guilt, fear, anger, helplessness, resignation and yet, what it would look like to use these emotions to act in the world. It's also pointing to the fact that we don't have a lot of time to make things right- when we stand together, we have a lot more than we do in dwelling on the weight of the world alone.
