Trumpeth Glitch

Trumpeth Glitch

Italian talent Mhod debuts on Aparenzza Music with his ‘Trumpeth Glitch’ EP. Boasting an impressive release catalogue of some of house music’s most respected imprints, including Defected Records and Repopulate Mars, Italian DJ/Producer Mhod makes his debut on Spanish imprint Aparenzza Music with an emphatic three-track debut in the form of his ‘Trumpeth Glitch’ EP. Kicking things off with the title cut, ‘Trumpeth Glitch’ jumps straight into loosely jackin’ grooves and fattened low-end frequencies. A moody bassline steers the track forwards alongside punchy drums, rising brass samples and quirky vocal chops, glued together and blended with creative FX throughout to carve out a catchy underground heater. ‘Rompiéndola’ comes next, bringing a dusty layer of tape delay on top of its weighty rolling persona. An analogue-heavy subterranean weapon with endless danceability, combining a thickened sub-bass melody with tight rhythms, subtle melodic injections and swirling vocals for a unique result. ‘Groove On’ closes the release with more pleasantly moody vibes from the off. Another weighty bassline melody leads the way alongside undulating rhythms, glitchy fills and more cleverly constructed wobbly vocal jabs. Look out for that huge atmospheric breakdown in the middle, it will turn you inside out!
