Indeed, good things come to Those Who Wait. Since Daley started causing a stir on the London live scene a year or two ago, fans, observers and music heads have been eagerly awaiting a release from the Mancunian Soulman. 　　Those Who Wait is a ten track mixtape featuring some of Daley’s notable covers and collaborations over the past 12-18 months (Maxwell – Pretty Wings, Gorillaz – Doncamatic, Madonna – Like A Virgin) alongside some brand new material. Last night I gave it a first listen and woke up this morning humming Smoking Gun. I’m still getting to grips with it but I definitely hear my favourites already. Alone Together featuring Marsha Ambrosius is a clear front runner displaying incredible vocal chemistry between the two.
