Berlin-based lofi production trio PanCake offer up their newest single, "The Roost." The track directly follows their instrumental "Hooper's Store" as well as their recently released debut EP, all of which continue to progress the band as an upbeat and lively collaborative effort. Together, they blend jazz and soul and hip-hop into one melting pot of laid-back, chill grooves. It sounds like a barbecue with friends. A bon fire after dark. Cannonballing in an indoor pool as it snows outside. About the track "The Roost", the trio say, "This song is of course inspired by Animal Crossing. Could be your favorite place or just the bar that you go to regularly and enjoy the company of friends, of same-minded people. Especially during winter we long for these places so hard. The song was giving us those vibes and it was a no-brainer, the title was just there."
