"The unsureness element is maybe where it lacks in lovey-dovey but it means well from the point of the storyteller. There’s an honesty there from an over-thinker, showing someone their flaws” says Lawson. "I recorded the track with Simon Dobson at his Lakehouse Audio studio. We went in with some Middle Kids references and came out with Shania Twain and Tom Petty vibes, which is never a bad thing. The shimmering Nashville tuning combined with legendary Ollie Thorpe’s pedal steel playing really sets this song up to be one of my favourites."
