Sunday (Live Drum Versions)

Sunday (Live Drum Versions)

Ian Ewing is a self-taught instrumentalist, producer and artist who blends a smooth mix of hip-hop, electronica, and R&B to create a sound that has been supported and showcased by Chillhop Music, SiriusXM, BBC One Extra, Soulection, Complexion's Future Beats Show, Indie Shuffle, and much more. Ewing has headlined various shows across the US, and has both collaborated and toured with artists including Flamingosis, Louis Futon, Joey Pecoraro, Anomalie, Galimatias, and Cautious Clay. While his music claims to be “the official soundtrack of hummus everywhere," this has yet to be confirmed. Ian Ewing's newest EP is a five song display of his versatility behind the boards. Bouncing between drum kit and bass guitar and keyboard and electric guitar, Ian can do it all. This EP is equal parts downtempo, hip-hop, and chillhop. Taking inspiration from Dilla as well as bossa, and bringing along his friends Birocratic and Jam'addict for the ride, it's a project that deserves multiple spins. One that began its rollout during the height of summer and one that is sure to keep you warm well into the winter. Following the release of his Sunday project, Ian Ewing recently recorded a live drum playthrough of his entire EP. The comments across social media platforms and YouTube were demanding these recordings be released to DSPs, so we're giving the people what they want. More drums to come for Ian Ewing as he goes full speed ahead behind the kit for 2025.
