Hi there! It’s Natlek, this is my new EP: Strada Statale Club Music, under my label Merge Layers. I chose this name because it embodies the concept of localizing club music, but I was born in Ferrara and have been living in Brescia for almost 8 years… so… The Strada Statale connect the two cities, but also the italian provinces that have given so much during the golden years when I played a lot around, and I am very fond of them. These provincial roads offer more than an escape.. they offer perspective. In the silence of the countryside, one can reflect on the noise of the city, reminding us of the different ways to live and experience the world. This perspective influences my music, which is a blend of the urban and rural, the fast-paced and contemplative. It’s about finding harmony in chaos, just like navigating these roads. Theres beauty in unexpected detours and slower paths. The provinces seem like anomalies, seem like errors, in this performance-driven society. But errors are opportunities that force us to reevaluate, adapt, and find new paths. It’s in these moments that we find our true selves, beyond societal expectations and pressures.
