Still Hype

Still Hype

UK resident and Italian ex-pat, Mauoq, has been a consistent presence on the drum and bass scene for many years. After Bruno Sanchez sending Maouq Paradise Lost music for his podcast for some time, a plan was hatched to collaborate on a series of tracks for the label. This release is the result of those labors. Mauoq stamps his dubby influences on the Bruno Sanchez's foundation in the lead track, Still Hype, whiich features several of Bruno's sounds from a (much) earlier release on Paradise Lost. Sufferah takes things to a tougher spectrum while Baraonda centers around the question of normalcy in a world where what exactly is 'normal' anymore is unknown. The use of Italian vocal samples is the result of both artists speaking the language, so why not? Enjoy the deepness on this one, but it's got the ooomph too.
