On his upcoming "Somoya" EP, Scopelyser chronicles his pilgrimage into his ancestral roots. Inspired by journeys through byways and marrows of India, Algeria and cities within the Mother Continent, the Tel Aviv-based dj/producer yields five tracks that capture the enigma of place and his profound affinity with the land. "Somoya" starts off with the title track, a symphony of nature's sounds, visceral rhythms and esoteric electronic sonances. Up next, "Durya" treads through celestial progressions and a meditative groove, illuminating the infinite trajectory of the stars. "Zamaye" brings in elegant wind and strings to create gust patterns and august resonance for fluid introspection. Harmonizing vegetal percussion, propulsive cadences and dewy undulations, "Barnaba" evokes a nostalgic petrichor for a remarkable dancefloor moment. "Aman Aman" wraps up the EP, unwinding ethnic instrumentals and ethereal melodies.
