Initially the main chorus line (“there’s so many places we can’t go for ages and ages”) was a reflection of covid lockdowns, but making a song about covid felt too on the nose for Liv. When it came to writing the verses she had the realisation that being in lockdown kind of felt the same as going through a breakup; There’s so many places you can’t go anymore, either because it reminds you of them, or because leaving the house can be really hard when you’re heartbroken.
