It's that time of year again. The holidays are upon us. Autumn is marked by the brightly colored foliage that slowly drops from the trees to carpet the ground. Winter months bring cold weather and snow and with it, the desire to be closer to family, gathering by a fireplace just to enjoy each other's company. It's a time of companionship, camaraderie and comfort - just like the direction I wanted to take with this song. The original by Mree, already contained enough brilliant instrumentation to fill in the bulk of the track. But like the growth of new leaves after a dormant winter, the lofi drum groove and arpeggiated synths brought a new life to the track. The original, released in 2017 by Nettwerk records, was only saving its energy for the great budding burst of a new life - in this reimagined, lofi, study mix.
