tender spring is the lofi moniker of David Tanton, 1/3 of indie pop band Afternoon Bike Ride. Through a series of solo EPs and collaborative albums (largely released through Lofi Girl and Chillhop Music's ambient sub-label Memoir Music) tender spring's sound can be described as going on a long walk with friends. Recording some nature sounds (stepping on a tree branch, a bird perched overhead) before making a bon fire and welcoming the quiet aspects of nighttime. Lofi folk, or ambient lofi, or neoclassical piano, or straight-up jazz, or genreless electronic, either way: tender spring's sound is sure to bring comfort. Cozy, care-free, and calming. Fresh off the release of his newest EP (his first in three years), tender spring is back with single "SK-1". Continuing with a genreless yet analog and authentic style of music, "SK-1" is a soothing guitar looped over plenty of dense yet "tender" elements. It's a calming track.
