Akīn is a Flemish/Belgian beatmaker and producer working as a music teacher. He is a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in drums, trumpet, bass guitar, piano, and voice. Along with composing for numerous other projects (like theater plays, punk/prog-rock bands, and even classical ensembles on a symphony level) he loves making chill lofi beats with his twin brother and closest friend, Phlocalyst. Rebirth, Akīn's newest EP, is a proper follow-up to Renewal. Acting as sibling projects, these laid-back instrumental EPs are meant to be played while reflecting, resting, and accepting the world around you. Focus track "Na'wa Kwa" means "in the middle of the forest" or "under the trees" and the title couldn't be more fitting. Meditative and lush, this entire project is one to spin when you need a personal day, a yoga session, or maybe just a nice long walk.
