A day in the life of Spanish geezers, Cele and Jaime Soeiro are guaranteed to score at least an eight or a nine with two tracks of sample-happy bump and banter. Cele has racked up remix credits and a status as one to keep an eye on since being put on by Stefano Noferini in 2014, with Hot Since 82, Richie Hawtin, Umek and Wally Lopez all celebrating the Basque Country native. Cele has also appeared on Techaway, the label of Jaime Soeiro regularly found in the Beatport top 50. Valencia's Soeiro is posting similar movements from strength to strength, sending pumping postcards from across Europe and putting his firepower in the proximity of Maya Jane Coles, Joris Voorn and Adam Beyer. 'Real Funky' bounces from pirate radio rooftops directly in the glare of the sun, from the jumpy bassline shuffle featuring tongue in cheek couplets (including sound advice for screen fiends) from one of the UK's most inimitable urban poets, to a grand introduction across the airwaves helped along by shiny disco guitars and a supersonic breakdown. Well capable of making you touch your toes and touch the ceiling, it's funky and grin-inducing in equal measure. 'The Space' is where it's at for Cele and Soeiro to churn through and get funkily knotty and knottily funky with their bass-stepping beats - in fact there's no space at all within the tightly packed dancefloor welcoming you to a jungle of clubbers soon to be wearing one another's bruises.
