The first EP of 2022 comes from the new duo Ten Systems. The title track is called ‘Perfect Circle’ and is in collaboration with the great vocalist SANDHAUS. The originals are pretty diverse with one clear atmosphere throughout the tracks. Besides, we are very happy to announce that the very talented Dutch artist Hollt did an energetic remix of the title track. The first track of the EP is called ‘Time’. The calm and sophisticated atmosphere of the originals is immediately very present here. During the full track a spacious robotic synth is communicating between itself. At the end of the break the vibe gets cut by an unexpected piano after which the track goes through in an even more relaxed state. The title track ‘Perfect Circle’ also begins in this calm state, in which the offbeat kick gets directed by a friendly pad. Gradually these pads get accompanied by the lovely vocals of SANDHAUS. While the vocals are getting a slightly haunting lower layer, the pitched main lead gets more and more intense during the track. Towards the end the intensity suddenly stops and it goes back to the previous calm mood. Hollt’s remix of ‘Perfect Circle’ directly starts off with a high energy level. Throughout the remix, the idea of the original gets persevered in a very powerful way. The bombastic drums are giving this extra energy and together with the repeating pitched main lead, the track turned into a real dancefloor banger. The final track of the EP called ‘Compass’ represents the darker part. It has some very tight drums and percussion, accompanied by spooky vocal one-shots. Together with the perpetual elements, the tension is kept very high. Every time this tension works towards a heavy and intriguing sawing synth. After the final hit of this synth a danceable clap comes in, creating an uplifting end to this great EP.
