For the longest time, 'Pavement' was called 'Song 7'. I used to have a really complicated naming sequence for the songs, and if you could crack the code, you could tell that this was the 7th song I had ever worked on. This song dates all the way back to 2020 and was loosely based on a crush I had on someone who had been a part of my life for a really long time. I never knew what to do about the situation and finally realized these feelings that I had. The song essentially explains that the character in the story is willing to do anything for this person and feels betrayed when they don't reciprocate the same feelings.
