After a trip to Japan, Clem Beatz is back ithis year with a brand new project, composed between the long Japanese roads and his bedroom turned in a real home studio. Whereas his last project « Daydream » has been warmly embraced by the public and the press, « Wabi Sabi » is the next logical step in this electronic universe, where he always has been influenced by the Hip-Hop culture. In Japanese, « Wabi Sabi » represents a world view that resumes to appreciating imperfect things, because imperfect is, after all, beautiful. Clem Beatz isn’t perfect, but is willing to surprise us once again with this new opus. Born in Hyères he first developed a passion for the art of sampling with references such as Pete Rock, 9th Wonders, Evidence or even J. Dilla. And if he has not totally renounced his musical past (as « Out Your Mind » the title featuring the rapper Mr. J. Medeiros - half of Alltta - testifies), his productions started to change over time. A real desire to include sonorities from everywhere has been felt on his last EP, and is as much assumed and successful on « Wabi Sabi ». When on stage the producer insists on playing instruments: the guitar he is been playing ever since his first rock bands when he was 13, synthesizers and drum pads as well. A wish to make an EP cut to be deconstructed, interpreted again and performed, visual. « Wabi Sabi » will be out on April 20 2018. Fasten your seat belt, lift-off is imminent.
