I love the holidays and holiday music - I’ve had a copy of a Sufjan Stevens Christmas release and we play selects from it every year. When I was little I’d visit my American side of the family in Washington DC and we’d go an get a real Christmas tree and all cram into one house with my extended family and it was my favourite kind of cosy. When I’m in Australia for Christmas we have our traditions in the heat. Last year we played yard games on the grass and hosted a big lunch in the small town where my parents live. I really enjoy curating playlists holidays. I loved putting this cover together. It’s one of my favourite holiday songs. Some of my other songs like ‘still so young’, This Is my year & Canada revolve around holiday themes and it’s special to keep extending it.
