From The Artist: A story about a boy and his dog. This album is dedicated to my best friend, my beloved cocker spaniel, the greatest, most kind and loving dog, who left me this year, Marley. The album art represents internal grief regarding the loss of a loved one, and the songs themselves center on simple beautiful memories we shared together. Memories are not lost if we find a way to make them last in others. During our last week together during a sunny day, I drove Marley dog around and we listened to several of these songs, enjoying our last moments as a family. Some tracks have more information about specific context and meaning. All tracks are original compositions utilizing vintage synthesizers (DX7, Moog, Prophet 5 and VS, Korg M1, Triton, MS-20, Wavestation, Fairlight CMI, Emulator II, etc etc), new synths (Minifreak + some modules), electric pianos (Rhodes, Wurli), and my funky jangly Fender Stratocaster as a primary voicing. I had so much fun making this album from scratch, and in spite of my loss, I choose to remember Marley with this upbeat positive collection of songs. It takes me to the sunniest memories we had together. I hope it takes you, the listener, to some places you forgot, but will now hopefully remember as you dive back into your own lost memories. I am grateful for how Marley changed my life, opened my heart, and showed me how to be gentle. From the Label: We grow and change and part of that natural progression is losing things along the way. Well, that's not necessarily true. We DO move on from the objects and forms of the past, but as we travel onward we encounter talismans which invite us to revisit them within our hearts and minds. This album, to me, is a distillation of such journeys. While we can never go back, we CAN find peace reflecting on those memories that made us happy. The vibrant instrumentals on 'Lost Memories' are a rumination on the past which take the vaporwave concept and infuse it with the tactile sensibility of live performance. It is at times a synthetic grasping for understanding, and at others a naturally joyous cheer giving voice to uncovered memories. The concept of remembering a loved one who has passed is singular yet universal. 회사AUTO finds a voice here to express this unity with an album that invites you to reflect and move forward.-Wiz All songs produced, created, mastered by 회사AUTO.
