For Bay-area psychedelic soul collective Moonalice, making music is more than just a career; it’s in their blood. It’s family. The 10-piece group includes the father-son vocal duo of Lester and Dylan Chambers, the T-Sisters vocal trio of Erika, Chloe, and Rachel Tietjen, and a band of musicians that have performed together for long enough to call each other brothers: Barry Sless, Pete Sears, John Molo, Jason Crosby, and Roger McNamee. What started as an idea between acclaimed producer T Bone Burnett and co-founder McNamee has blossomed into a euphoric community that operates in the spirit of the San Francisco psychedelic era with songs that bridge generations. Since its inception in 2007, Moonalice has grown and evolved, spreading its message of love, peace, and happiness, winning fans and followers along the way. It makes perfect sense then, that Moonalice would release a live show from Bay Area festival Hardly Strictly Bluegrass which shares the same love, peace and happiness ethos. Moonalice has been a staple at HSB, having performed twelve times. Since it began in 2001, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass has become the largest free festival in the America typically drawing several hundred thousand people every year. "HSB is heaven on earth for musicians and fans, three days of love and magic in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park."
