Akīn is a Flemish/Belgian beatmaker and producer working as a music teacher. He is a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in drums, trumpet, bass guitar, piano, and voice. Along with composing for numerous other projects (like theater plays, punk/prog-rock bands, and even classical ensembles on a symphony level) he loves making chill lofi beats with his twin brother and closest friend, Phlocalyst. "Kodama (木霊) are spirits in Japanese folklore that inhabit trees.
