A fixture of the Berlin electronic scene, Japanese producer and vinyl-only DJ Hito joins forces with fellow Japanese and Berlin-based producer duo SUDO for their Kobe EP, featuring Minus label mate Carlos Ruetz and label chief Simina Grigoriu on remix duties. Kobe is a fierce slice of slamming techno, swiftly unfolding its brooding intro into a full on dancefloor heater. Simina Grigoriu puts her own mark on the track, adding a new layer of suspense decked in lofty pads and spiralling synths converging into highly attention-grabbing crescendo. Meanwhile, Carlo Ruetz's remix sits on the playful side, filled with arpeggiated sequences and other sonic boomerangs that captivate and delight at the same time.
