In this album, Joyce Cheung and her 13-piece ensemble present a collection of familiar classical pieces with a contemporary twist. Retracing her musical roots and taking inspiration from jazz and fusion, she re-imagines some of her favourite works in the performance, including Dvorak’s New World Symphony, Debussy’s Claire de Lune and Chopin’s Fantaisie Impromptu. It is a live recording of the playful 70-minute show that headlined the Freespace Jazz Fest in Hong Kong in 2021.
