It's All a Bit Fuzzy (Remixes)

The Los Angeles-based indie-dance duo is comprised of Australian-born Jordan Feller and Southern California native Marc Gilfry. There Is No Neil Frances, the collab-heavy It’s All A Bit Fuzzy LP refines Feller and Gilfry’s natural, club-ready groove with sonic influences ranging from ‘80s/’90s rave culture, ‘70s funk and soul, yacht rock, and classic hip-hop. Alluding to a dizzy night out, followed by a pleasantly woozy morning after. The Clubs Edits features remixes by legendary Alan Braxe of Stardust, Poolside, Evan McVicar and more. Scottish DJ and music producer Ewan McVicar puts his signature remix on "Energy," featuring DRAMA. McVicar saw his profile rise when his version of Rufus and Chaka Khan's 1974 US hit Tell Me Something Good spent 13 weeks in the Top 40. The dance smash also became a huge club favourite and the inspiration for a regular feature on Greg James' BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show. In a serendipitous full-circle moment, Neil Frances, the dynamic Indie Dance duo, experiences a remix from none other than the legendary Alan Braxe. The collaboration holds special significance as Neil Frances catapulted into the spotlight with their cover of Braxe's "Music Sounds Better With You" from his days with legendary band Stardust. Now, the tables turn as Braxe puts his touch on one of Neil Frances' latest anthem, promising a seamless fusion of indie dance vibes and Braxe's pioneering French house magic. Brace yourselves for a sonic journey that encapsulates the essence of past and present, marking a new chapter in the evolution of both artists' musical legacies. QUOTES: Jordan - I’ve been a lifelong fan of Alan Braxe. His Upper Cuts release was one of the first vinyls I ever bought. Those early songs continue to be a touch point that I go to for inspiration. Very grateful that he would bless us with a remix :) Alan - “I was really excited to work on this remix after my initial introduction when Neil Frances covered Stardust’s own ’Music Sounds Better With You’. I was very impressed by it and thought this would be a great opportunity to keep the collaboration going! The vocals are what caught my attention - incredibly tender and melancholic, with a sense of proximity as if Marc is singing right there in front of you. It inspired me to build the new instrumental around that feeling. I’m really looking forward to this release and am excited to see the reception of our continued collaboration.”
