Patrik Berg Almkvisth (LUCHS), a neo-classical and ambient composer from Stockholm returns to his album Solskur from 2020 by presenting reworks of all the pieces from the original release, creating the new album Solskur Resurfaced. The original album is written and arranged for orchestra and was recorded together with parts of Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. The album is an hommage to Patriks mother who passed away from cancer in 2019. The third remix is made by Yunosuke Senoo, a.k.a Lycoriscoris, a Japanese artist and electronic music producer. In his dark and suggestive interpretation of the piece ”Irrbloss” we are put on a steam train, fuelled by pulsating synthesizers and atmospheric percussive elements, moving steadily forward through a dystopian landscape. While the main melodies are still carried by the piano and the strings, the production steers more towards an almost post-apocalyptic feel.
