Ear Porn Music serves up another big one, this time from RTIK in the form of his In A State EP. Italian born and based artist Carlo Raiteri, a.k.a. RTIK, has been perfecting his craft while experimenting with a variety of different genres over the years, finding his own unique sonic palette combining downtempo electronic, ambient soundscapes and haunting melodies with more club driven tempos. While its hard to fit his sound into a specific genre and style, the Italian producer has released over the years on a number of respected labels such as Rose Avenue, Running Clouds, David Hohme's Where The Heart Is, WOOD while receiving great support from tastemakers, blogs and curators. In A State (How It Ends) is first and is an atmospheric tune with real drama. The synths are pixelated and have real cosmic energy, while the drums drive on through the stars. Cracked Code then picks up where that one left off with more wood-block hits, frazzled chords and out of this world feels that will get the club locked in.
