Foodman is Takahide Higuchi, from Nagoya, central Japan. This single preceeds ‘Yasuragi Land’, his debut album for Hyperdub, alive with Footwork-inspired musical freedom and the sense that everything is a rhythm. ‘Hoshikzu Tenboudai’ bounces around the speakers like a trance-inducing polyrhythmic update of the New York minimalists, programmed beyond human limitations.
