Happyaku-yachō refers to old Japanese urban spaces within the lost city of Edo. This track transliterates the mood of the town, rooted in the culture of the Edo townspeople. Using vintage sound material found in old archive films and familiar tabi-running hi-hat sound of the Kofū stage, the melody is based on the sampling of curious voices that symbolize Japan in the past, otherwise seen as peculiar today. Happyaku-yachō is an art by Meitei that is genuinely worthy of the word Edo.
