New York and Oaxaca based musician, songwriter, producer and DJ Quinn Lamont Luke has most probably been in your ears over the years, even if you didn’t realise it. Formerly known as Bing Ji Ling, and a former member of the Phenomenal Handclap Band, Quinn has recently been working on a variety of solo, band, and production projects. His other active projects and collaborations include Paqua (Claremont 56), Q&A (Leng Records), and Cantoma (Highwood Recordings). Having spent the entirety of lockdown at his creative bolthole on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, he has emerged from his studio chrysalis with this cracking set of summer-fresh house tracks. "Don’t Run Away" is inspired by Quinn’s years on the dance floor at the legendary NYC party - The Loft. Combining live instruments with hypnotic synths and raunchy drum machines, floating on the crest of Quinn’s ethereal vocal, this record evokes the spirit of SunPalace or Larry Heard, whilst making sure that you’re dancing with your eyes closed.
