Berlin-based lo-fi production trio PanCake creates the ambiance of a diner on the "Detour" EP, with each track almost serving as a different point of conversation over the course of a shared meal with friends. "The album was produced during the pandemic and it pretty much reflects a desire of the feeling of meeting with friends, hanging out, having great food and a good time in company of people that you love. It was never meant as a "diner soundtrack", more or less this was the feeling when we listened to it at the end".
