The songs reflect her experiences since she was sixteen and are heartfelt and lyrical with an air of innocence. The tunes are exceedingly listenable with several stand-out tracks like “J-Tusks”; which express her tender heart being wretched by unrequited love. “Desperate” also contains other little gems like “Tribute” and “Charlene” that are personal tracks penned for her dance instructor and a little baby girl. The album features fine musicians like guitarist Jude Lee, Masashi Kimura, bassist Mark Pichay and drummer Jonathan Ong.
