Coping

Coping

Rosie Darling is making a name in the indie-pop scene, a fresh-eyed LA transport from just outside Boston, ready to speak her mind & showcase her impressive songwriting. On her debut EP ‘Coping’, she collaborated with a stellar team including co-writes with Justin Gammella (Lennon Stella, FINNEAS, Carlie Hanson), producer Andy Seltzer (Maggie Rogers, Chelsea Cutler, Shallou), Cooper Holzman (UMI, Lostboycrow), + mixer Michael Brauer (Coldplay, Vance Joy). The overarching theme of the EP is finding yourself after going through the universal motions of heartache - writing for Rosie is therapeutic and she expands on this saying: “…through my form of storytelling I hope to help others relate their experiences to each other and find meaning in their own story.” In the song “Witness,” Rosie paints the vivid picture of the hurt that comes after moving on from a breakup & still feeling the other person trying to get a reaction from you - “Do what you need to get over me, but I won’t be a witness.” The ballad highlights Rosie’s honesty and ability to draw on her own experiences to help others going through something similar cope. The debut EP evokes the style of some of her favorite contemporaries including Chelsea Cutler, FLETCHER, & Carlie Hanson.
