Ivan & Alyosha is a Seattle based band led by vocalist Tim Wilson and his songwriting partner Ryan Carbary (guitar). Known for their sweet harmonies and jangly guitar licks, this now two-piece group has toured with everyone from Aimee Mann to Brandi Carlile. With over a decade of touring and recording under their belts, Ivan & Alyosha continue to hone their creative voice, unafraid to let their sound evolve while staying true to their folk-pop roots. NPR Music has praised their “Beatles-esque pop harmonies and sweet melodies,” while Rolling Stone has raved about their “smooth, soaring guitar pop” and American Songwriter has extolled their “polished west coast, soulful folk sound that draws on the poppier sensibilities of McCartney songwriting.” About the song, Tim says: "Can't Fight The Feeling" is an upbeat, rock song. I wrote this song during the Covid pandemic. I was frustrated, feeling pretty Angsty and anxious. I think the idea of the song is that I couldn’t fight the feeling that something needed to change, and everything was changing all around me, but I too needed to change. Again, it’s a fast paced rock song, but I think it’s about finding peace and calm and meaning in a chaotic world.
