The last three years were full of some very big sads and St. South wrote it as a way to self-soothe after her dad died in 2020. She wrote it in the mindset of herself as a child, because grieving him made her so nostalgic for her childhood, and made her so deeply sad that she would never experience this life with him again. BIG SADS is about surrendering to sadness, and resting when you need to.
