PANTōNE VU is a chromesthesia-curious partnership between two musicians looking to explore that intersection of color and sound. Blending found sound, live performance and modular synth-tinkering, their color series EPs (having just wrapped up Green and continuing with Pink) explore the many musical trails that exists in the corners of the color spectrum. A new palette means a new chapter for the enigmatic duo of A+K. Continuing with segments of their newest palette (purple), the duo deliver with "Amethyst Swirl". Here, they offer up a cinematic synthwave beat. It would fit nicely in the soundtrack to a 1980s movie. According to Wikipedia, "Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz. The name comes from the Greek 'amethystos' meaning 'to not intoxicate', a reference to the belief that the stone protected its owner from drunkenness."
